Pictures of some of the Stevia plantations in the State of Parana, in southwestern Brazil. We use the leaves of these plants to naturally extract the stevia sweet crystals which are at least 95% pure. Only the leaves are utilized in the extraction process.
A view of one of the stevia plantations... A close up of a single stevia plant.
Most of the leaves that we process belong to the original native stevia plant ( known as "Criola") from the areas between Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. These leaves produce on the average 8 to 12% sweet crystals known as "steviol glycosides". There are 7 different types of steviol glycosides - they all are sweet tasting , but with different sweetness profile and intensity. The most common is the stevioside (60%), followed by Rebaudioside A ( 30%). The 10% balance is distributed among the remaining glycosides, namely, Rebaudioside C, Dulcoside A, Rubusoside,
Steviolbioside and Rebaudioside B.
